Custom Levant goatskin colors

We’re a fan of Levant goatskin for several reasons.

Levant goatskin provides a unique opportunity to expand the available colors beyond the supplier’s available colors. Levant comes in five pre-dyed colors: Black, Navy, Forest Green, Red, and Mocha. However, natural Levant is available to purchase, and that leather is unfinished. That provides a unique opportunity that isn’t readily available in the other leathers that many of you are familiar with. Natural Levant is completely unfinished. It doesn’t even have a finish coat applied to the leather. That means that a leather craftsman can dye the leather and apply the finish coat after the leather dries. It opens the door to many possibilities to a leather worker with the skills, tools, and materials.

I normally have 13 leather dyes in house. Of those 13 colors, 7 are colors that are completely different than what the leather supplier currently has available. Those colors are: Mahogany, Saddle Tan, English Bidle, Royal Blue, Yellow, Walnut, and Light Brown. These options add a variety of options not otherwise available. However, it does add additional time and expense to a rebind using custom colors, but it is available.
